UNDER CONSTRUCTION; MORE TO COME!

For all Crusemen
Handkerchief again,
Today, Thursday 16 December 1999, 11h20, lieutenant de vaisseau [~Lt] Eric Berthou from 12F made the last touch-down of a Crusader. He flew F-8E(FN) n°10 from NAS Landivisiau to NAS Dugny, facing the French Air & Space Museum. The aircraft will be delivered to the museum later on. Angry about its fateful destiny, n°10 burst a tyre on the runway. Berthou didn't want to block both runways of the international airport, so he taxies to NAS Dugny apron with his burst tyre, showing a "final touch" in front of newsmen and spotters.

The day before, enseigne de vaisseau [~ Lt(jg)] Stéphane Aubry flew n°34 from NAS Landivisiau to NAS Hyères, near Toulon. One of the enclosed photo shows the cover of a videotape made by the French military audiovisual department. They prepare about ten NTSC copies that "Club des Anciens du Crusader" will send you in a couple of months. Two other photos are courtesy of 16F, French Navy recce squadron.

The Gunfighter is out, but fighters always cheesing there
